  • Some Balance? To begin with, Dawkins is in no way taunting the people he's talking to, or trying to mock them. He, and many like him, genuinely see these people as believing in ancient superstitions... and he rightly sees unquestioning belief in anything as dangerous.

  • Pink Floyd? How the hell can Pink Floyd be "over-rated"? Hell "If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding! How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meant?!" That puts them in the top 5 all time bands right there, how can that be "over-rated?"

  • I'd like to defend myself (I wrote Faith: America's Greatest Threat, I open the article by explaining, I had no intentions of making anyone feel ashamed, merely showing the reason for the correlation between those who support Bush and extreme religious zeal; and how I saw that as a very bad thing.

  • I think your arguments may be colored by your personal heritage, merely a thought. I also think that you are angry at Carter merely for looking at the world from a viewpoint opposing your own. Yes, Israel has had to put up with some serious pains since usurping the lands in the late 40's.

  • Religion was a minor political force until the 1980's and even then didn't truly gain power until Bush took office in 2000, and until unquestioning faith in the Bible hadn't put us at direct conflict with other nations of the world, ie the Middle East.

  • I'm against God and Bush, and I see them wholly linked. I am pro-Republicanism, but the Republican party has been catering to extremists in this society for the last six years, and finally that era is coming to a close. I want small government, I want a strong military, and fiscal responsibility.

  • I'm not claiming religion exists because people are ignorant and blind. There are a number of reasons it was born. I am claiming that there is a reason that those who still support Bush are the same ones who refuse to acknowledge all the facts around them concerning both Iraq and Evolution.
